Key responsibilities:
Assist the RM in meeting financial and other sales targets set. This is achieved by -
• Creating credit proposal/amendments as required.
• Support the RM in providing excellent customer service.
• Identifying sales opportunities and referring these to the RM.
Minimize the risk of loss to the Bank through excellent credit standards. This is achieved by -
• Strict adherence to the Bank’s credit, audit and compliance requirements.
• Continual evaluation and pro-active management of credit/market risks.
• Ongoing development of your own + support staff credit skills.
Developing your own skills. This is achieved by -
• Identify and nominate yourself for relevant training courses or self study material.
• Developing the skill-set and showing the performance potential for promotion to an RM role.
Major Challenges:
• Achieving profitable portfolio growth in an increasingly competitive and sophisticated market.
• Maximising return on risk assets and growing deposits so that your portfolio becomes self funding.
• Dealing with multiple product providers, across different Group entities and geographies.
• Building relationships with customer contacts. Involving more senior HSBC execs as required.
• Understanding customer needs, and referring opportunities to the RM.
• Operating in a market characterized by poor disclosure and an untested legal environment.

•Post graduate qualification – BA or BS
•2 years or less experience.
