Description

Design instructional programs for students with emotional/behavioural disabilities of the P-12 Education Sector to ensure the necessary support for their educational needs. Leads all program development for emotional/behavioral disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. Provides guidance, training and support to all zones on all aspects of emotional and behavioral disabilities including autism spectrum disorder. Creates and updates guidelines for the identification of and educational placement for students with emotional and behavioural disabilities. Creates guidelines on best practices in serving students with these disabilities in various settings and disseminates this information across the emirate. Develops policies and procedures for functional behavior plans for students with severe behavioral needs. Develops a “train-the-trainer” program for Positive Behavior Management to be disseminated to all zones. Keeps statistical data on all students with emotional and behavioral disabilities with their educational placement and geographic location.
