Description
To assist in the co-ordination of the Treasury Section by assisting in the Section’s functions and activities helping to ensuring the necessary co-ordination, administration and reconciliation of the Department’s Treasury transactions with the Department of Finance. *Coordinate and administer the reconciliation of the Department’s Treasury transactions with the Department of Finance; *Conduct funds transaction between accounts and reconcile accounts and balances to ensure accuracy of transactions; *Accept, verify, reconcile and prepare receipts for Treasury deposits, business license fees and general collections payments made via direct, credit card and electronic fund transfer; *Process bank deposits for accounts operated by the Department and the related accounting forms and reconcile bank records balancing discrepancies and reports to ensure the accuracy of cash balances; *Assist the Section Manager in the preparation of a variety of treasury, statistical and other cash management related reports to management on a periodic basis, for assessment of treasury activities; *Assist the Sector Manager in managing the working capital and petty cash requirements to meet the Department’s daily petty expenses; *Participate in developing and administering the Section\‘s budget, as far as treasury activities are concerned, and monitor revenues and expenditures; *Coordinate with the Internal Audit Office and provide required documents for completion of the internal audit; *Provide input and feedback to the Section Manager to enable effective negotiation and purchase of insurance contracts which the Department has entered into for treasury function; *Maintain the relationship with banks and other financial institutions that aid the daily operations of the Department; *Manage the working capital requirements, cash disbursement and petty cash accounts of the Department’s Divisions; *Support in the negotiation, purchase and administration of insurance contracts.
