Description
To manage and oversee the Fixed Assets Section by assuming overall responsibility for the Section’s functions and activities and ensuring they are performed according to the overall guidelines prescribed by the Department and that adequate support is provided to the Department’s core functions. *Ensure proper coordination of delivery schedules and times between Fixed Asset team and suppliers, and Fixed Asset team and Third Party Logistics Providers *Co-ordinate the expected delivery dates and planned delivery dates with the purchasing department and suppliers; *Co-ordinate scheduled deliveries with adopted 3PL providers and plan team schedule accordingly; *Ensure that all the legal and other required procedures are being followed and executed appropriately, and all the asset tracking records and the register are properly managed and maintained; *Ensure that execution team has all the required material (i.e. labels, ribbons, handhelds, etc) for proper, timely and accurate job execution; *Coordinate possible moves from one location to another with logistics/administration departments and ensure that all procedures are followed in a correct fashion and that assets are properly tracked and registers are accurately kept; *Plan periodical inspections of schools and identify and resolve assets management process weaknesses; *Ensure that all procedures are followed in a correct fashion and that assets are properly tracked and registers are accurately kept; *Participate in developing and administering the Section\‘s budget, as far as fixed assets activities are concerned,; *Coordinate with the Internal Audit Office and provide required documents for completion of the internal audit; *Provide input to the Finance & Asset Management Division Manager to enable negotiation and purchase of insurance contracts which the Department has entered into for treasury function; *Plan day-to-day tasks of the team and organise regular training and quality control inspections within the team.Salary :
