Description
To manage and oversee the IT Support Section, by assuming overall responsibility for the Section’s functions and activities and ensuring they are performed according to the overall guidelines prescribed by ADEC, and that adequate support is provided to ADEC’s core functions.*Assist in the planning and establishment of long term and short term goals, objectives and programs for the Support Services Sector based on vision, mission and overall guidelines provided; *Review maintenance of existing systems, provide direction in all technology related issues; identify, evaluate and assess solutions and methodologies in terms of technological compatibility and effectiveness and recommend improvements/ solutions for ADEC based on the identified architecture and technology standards; *Enable and develop systems that effectively provide end-user and back-end support to systems and applications ensuring satisfaction with speed and quality of support received;
*Oversee all activities relating to implementing, administering and testing new applications, systems, networks etc. by the System Administrator;*Manage the documentation of the policies and procedures for various functions in the section and oversee to ensure that these are adhered to;
*Manage and monitor the performance and lead the technical development and support of ADEC’s website; *Ensure that IT support is in line with the expectations of government departments and continually manage the relationship with government representatives;*Establish relationships with external service providers to agree terms and conditions that best protect the interest of ADEC for software licensing and maintenance agreement. Request assistance from the Legal Affairs Section for this purpose;
*Oversee the performance of, and manage relationships with, service providers monitoring performance targets;*Train and assist users of applications within ADEC, ensuring effectiveness of support and resolution of issues;
*Manage the communication of all the services and products delivered by the IT Planning Section.Viewed: 118 times
