To manage and oversee the IT Planning Section, by assuming overall responsibility for the Section’s functions and activities and ensuring they are performed according to the overall guidelines prescribed by ADEC, and that adequate support is provided to ADEC’s core functions.
*Identify the IT capability of the whole of ADEC, identifying particular areas that need additional help ensuring the necessary plans are put on place to support these needs; *Oversee the communication of all the services and products delivered by the IT Planning Section; *Develop the planning and establishment of long term and short term goals, objectives and programs for the Support Services Sector based on vision, mission and overall guidelines provided; *Manage the documentation of the policies and procedures for various functions in the section and oversee to ensure that these are adhered to; *Ensure that IT planning policy is in line with the expectations of government departments and continually manage the relationship with government representatives; *Identify and direct the IT service needs and processes, to ensure effective delivery and support for ADEC; *Ensure the maintenance of required application systems and databases to support the operation and management of ADEC; *Establish Service Level Agreement’s with service providers, monitoring and managing the service provider’s performance to target to ensure the efficient and cost effective supply of external services; *Supervise and approve the technical aspects, contents & layout of ADEC website; *Study division requirements for connection with the central network, ensuring a consistency in connection speed and efficient management of the filling system on the network.
