job description
- Identify international professional organisations with knowledge products relevant to the Continuing Education and the HBMeU.
-Establish the requirements for accreditation of the CE programs with relevant professional organisations and associates
- Assists with all accreditation activities for the CE programsensuring that all criteria are satisfied as established by national, programmatic and international occupational and professional accrediting bodies
- Work closely with the Director of Consultancy & distribution and Director of Knowledge Development to identify new approaches leading to dual award and professional certification.
- Work closely with the Executive Director of the Continuing Education to ensure continuous alignment and communication both within the CE department and school deans on all matters pertaining programs accreditation/certification, submission and compliance.
- To seek and apply for accreditation and certification of CE offerings from well reputable institutions and accreditation bodies
- To work closely with the Executive Director of Continuing Education and other parties on handling and managing accreditation/ certification efforts;
- To develop policies and procedures pertinent to the development and implementation of external relations (agreements and alliances).
- To regularly monitor, evaluate and report on the activation of various partnerships and alliances.
- To oversee the management the transfer of knowhow and the development of courses according to agreements with the HBMeU international partners;
- To maintain a strong link with business development to ensure alignment and ROI from all links.
- Provide leadership in writing and submitting documents and reports associated with accreditation bodies, local and international institutions
- To negotiate and manage copyright issues which evolve as part of the accreditation process with institutional partners.
skill set
- A doctorate in an appropriate field preferred, master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years experience can also be considered.
Other Knowledge, Skills, andabilities:
- Comfortable communicating at the highest level with international institutions and professional bodies.
- Possess strong, dynamic leadership and have a passion for professional and life-long learning and education with at least 5 years experience with accreditation program approval background.
- Excellent written & spoken Arabic and English and a good ability in report writing
- Good negotiation skills at the international level.
- Good leadership skills with strong ability to communicate, mentor and coach team and individuals
- Self motivated, dynamic, results oriented and problem solving
