Senior Oracle Support Specialist
at Oracle Financials in Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose -
To work with the team providing Oracle Financials / HRMS / Procurement functional support to meet the needs of Finance, HR & Procurement users:
• Provide advice and guidance regarding the efficient use of Oracle Financials, HRMS & Procurement
• Provide software changes/ Report changes (FSG) to meet changes in functionality as required.
• Collaborate with project teams on future implementations of Oracle Financials & HRMS.
Financials: The current set-up is Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2, on a version 10.2.0.3.0 database, on a Linux platform.
Main duties
• Provide Oracle functional support to Finance team, HR team and Procurement team, perform day-to-day activities, as well as month-end and year-end closing on the system.
• Trouble shoot and resolve incidents as they occur within the target resolution time.
• Provide advice and guidance on the efficient use and configuration of Oracle Financials.
• Test functionality after software patches and upgrades to Oracle Financials.
• Provide support to Oracle Financials reports.
• Test and implement functionality changes.
• Work with project teams on future implementations of Oracle Financials.
• Advise/guide on functional security setup.
• To identify the need to implement a customization.
• Ensure that known errors are correctly classified and that the recovery procedures are documented and shared with other team members.
• Regular reporting to Line Manager, updating on status, flagging any barriers to success, and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Work as part of team, delivering own tasks in line with deadlines and standards and supporting others to achieve their goals
• Provide input and manage technical functions

Knowledge and Experience
• 3 years experience of Oracle Financials, HRMS and Procurement modules.
• Detailed knowledge of Oracle Financials R11.5.10 functionality.
• Good functional and application knowledge of GL, AP, CM, FA.
• Use Oracle tools like FSG, ADI, Web ADI, Discoverer, Oracle Reports to deliver compliant reports, queries and financial data analytics
Qualifications
• Post graduate qualification with over 4 years relevant experience or graduate with over 6 years experience; or subject matter experts with over 6 years of experience
Interpersonal Skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to train.
• Able to work effectively under pressure for example when dealing with major incidents.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive and enquiring nature with a willingness to take on a range of responsibilities
